Haha I was reading this on my phone and had to zoom in absurdly to see what you meant here, feeling like a perv for looking at the photos like that. Good thing I wasn't on the bus or anything..
I totally recognise the shots against anxiety thing. Sometimes you just need to calm the nerves in any way possible to perform.

Yeah, taking a few shots to calm the nerves totally makes sense. But Jessica went a bit beyond that, swigging Vodka until she got so drunk that she could hardly walk and people had to escort her to the bathroom or she'd get lost. She somehow did an amazing job of hiding how drunk she was on camera, though you can see it a bit during the Rubik's cube scene in the "Totally Cool" video. She totally had the drunk giggles at that point.
