“Storm … Storm ... Stormkitties. Gooooo!”

Hmm, doesn’t quite have the same ring to it...

Anyway, you can see we’re not doing the whole secret identity thing in this comic. We also decided not to have the body of the demon conveniently disappear or turn into ash upon death. We think it’s just more fun to have it linger around and be studied by scientists and reported about on the evening news.

Good choices there, no lazy cop-outs.

No secret identity is one thing, but telling everyone about the magic glove? A bold move..

Eddie's finally got the girl! After all these years in the making! (Well a few days in the span of the comic lol)

Totally. Eddie can be a bit of a dummy at times, but I can't blame the dude this time since he's feeling on top of the world at the moment.

Actually, years in-comic too, since Eddie been "secretly popping boners for" Veronica since the seventh grade. However, it might be a bit premature to say that he's "got the girl", though things are certainly looking a lot more promising in that regard.

Would this lead to some MIB(Men In Black) type agents to converge on Eddie's school???

September MacLeod-a nice parody/homage to April O'Neil from TMNT.

Were this a '90s-themed comic, this would be the perfect time to pay tribute to one of my and Jessica's favorite shows: The X-Files.

September MacLeod-a nice parody/homage to April O'Neil from TMNT.

Heh, I didn't think it'd take too long for someone to call out that reference.

We decided to make September black as a homage to the little-known trivia that one of the two original TMNT creators says he had always wanted April to be a black chick (the other creator says that's not true, so who knows). Kinda weird to have a black chick with such an Irish surname, but of course it's not unheard of. One of Jessica's art teachers was a black dude with the surname McDonald.

Of course, making September black also makes the reference just a little less obvious.

Looks like Veronica isn't going to let Eddie out of her sight any time soon....!  ;D

Yeah, apparently not even long enough to put another shirt on.

And now Jessica and I just learned about a new TMNT cartoon series that actually has a black April O'Neil. So much for Steptember being a less obvious reference...
