Heh, you're right. I didn't notice all the love flail weapons have been getting. Last week's art update featured the classic spiked ball flail (which have always seemed absurdly unwieldy to me), and of course we've got two chuck-wielders.
We'll have to change it up next week and post an awesomely NSFW Minxy poster.
How much longer do you have to work these crazy hours Adam?
This should be my final week. But then again, that's what I thought about last week, so we'll see.

We knew we wanted a video game poster in Eddie's room, because video games are one of his main interests. So Jessica looked at posters for several different '80s games, and ended up taking elements from several of them, including Rygar. She came up with the name Wrathgar as she was making the poster. I imagine it'd be an action platformer. Maybe something like Contra meets Rygar.

Hahah, I'm glad this has prompted you to discover Buckethead, but that's actually not who inspired Jessica. After all, Buckethead didn't release his debut album until '92, so he's off limits as inspiration for our comic.
But still, Buckethead is awesome. I don't even care for most of his music, but I'm so fuckin' glad that dude exists.

Here's another one for you: "I Suck Dicks on the River Styx." That's a bonus track on the Japanese release of the album. On that song Minxy and Jackie swap places, so he plays guitar and she sings. They do the same thing on two other album tracks, "Succubus Fuckubus" and the ballad that closes out the album, "I Dream of Satan."

Heh. While her being a real succubus is certainly possible within the 198X universe, that's one of those things we'll leave ambiguous for now, like whether or not Mr. Skull is a figment of Sam's drug-addled imagination.

I'm pretty sure you're right in that Lemmy was the inspiration for the mustache. The chuck-wielding was inspired by a different metal bassist, but I'm not sure if Jessica wants me to divulge who.

I'm hoping someday you guys actually write music for the titles.
Haha, oh man, that'd rule. We actually have talked about making music that ties into the comic at some point, so maybe we'll try and see if we could do a Demon Hammer song justice. I doubt we'd ever do an entire album though, as that'd be a huge undertaking.

Heh, thanks for the offer. But I think Jessica and I are too big of control freaks to let someone else pilot our baby. For that same reason, I doubt we'll ever have guest comic pages (pages drawn by other comic artists), like many other webcomics sometimes have.

Speaking of work, I showed up to the job site, all geared up for 12-hours of being a security dude, only to find no one there. I called my boss and it turned out the event I'll be "guarding" got bumped back a day, but they forgot to pass that along to me. So, since I unexpectedly got the night off, I'll see if I can whip up a quick article.
