Thanks, dudes! Reworking art is sort of agonizing for me, so the positive feedback feels all the better. I can't wait to show you guys something totally new.

We can't wait for something new either.

On a side note getting to see you in action while reworking some of that stuff was super cool.

These upgrades turned out great.

Interesting. With Satan Ninja, we tend to have a mix of really obvious references (Fresh Teens on the Street), and much more obscure ones (Alex is a tomboy, so the outfit we gave her in issue two is directly lifted from an outfit worn by Joyce Hyser in the movie Just One of the Guys, in which Joyce plays a girl who goes to high school disguised as a guy).

Yeah there is no denying many of your references either, and I also really get a good laugh out of many of them especially the blatantly obvious ones such as (Fresh Teens on the Street).

All in all I can only see Kung Fury helping your comic.  I can see it driving a pop culture shift to the 80's in which case your comic is up and running already for viewing.  Plus there is this Forum and if we write Kung Fury enough times it might hit on a google search.  Those that take the time to click Satan Ninja will instantly get hooked by Jess's awesome illustrations.

[Edited to fix your fucked-up quotes.  8) A.D.]

Where to start.........

I guess I should say I had the privilege to watch Kung Fury with our favorite web comic creators Adam and Jess.  That in of itself was a totally rad experience.

As for the film.  I thought it was crazy awesome.   I especially enjoyed that the refrences were very obvious they did not try to hide or slip a pop culture point in there, they totally let you know they ripped off Miami Vice or Night Rider.

As for it being compared to Satan Ninja I think you are totally safe.  The overall parody thing is similar but as soon as you start reading Satan Ninja those similarities end.

Congrats guys. One year and two issues in and you're receiving fan art.  I'm not a comic guy but I gather that's a pretty rad thing.

I think all the upgrades look great.  The rework of Alex and Trance really stands out.

The speech balloons are definitely an improvement, makes it seem far less cluttered when there are multiple connected ones on a page.

Agreed. After we finished Issue 1 and had a few copies printed, we compared the size of our text to several other comics and found that we could reduce the size of ours a little bit. So we did that with Issue 2, and now Jessica finally went back and updated the text in Issue 1 to match. Having smaller text gave her more room to play with balloon placement.

For us readers that is a great inside type of creation that I would never have thought of.  Great attention to detail guys, if nothing else it will have a polished professional look to it.

Wow so much more intense.  I really thought the old cover was good but I think this new one really sets the tone and is more of what your comic is about.

Jess is killing it with the posters.  This one is the best so far.

Poster looks great Jess.

That work schedule sucks but at least it has coincided with the down time of the comic.

I had totally forgot about Buckethead.  I'm not a big fan of the music but he's very talented.  He did play with Guns N Roses for a few years and that was really cool I guess.

Album cover looks great.  So happy to hear the hiatus is working well for the creation side.

Seems as there is a lot of fucking on this album, I'm hoping someday you guys actually write music for the titles.

Let me know if you ever want a guest blogger lol I'm sure my self and others would be interested in reviewing a horrible 80's movie for you

Heh, thanks for the offer. But I think Jessica and I are too big of control freaks to let someone else pilot our baby. For that same reason, I doubt we'll ever have guest comic pages (pages drawn by other comic artists), like many other webcomics sometimes have.

Yeah it would be tough to give up that control.  Though from some of the research I've done, you guy's may want to try guest blogging at an established site somewhere.  From what I understand it's one of the best ways to promote yourself and website.

Awesome today Santanninja.com is not blocked at work.  I'm happy now

Weird. I wonder why they reversed the block. That's great, though.

Well when it was blocked it had it listed under "games" so who knows.  I'm happy it's back I usually like to hang out on the forum especially if there is chatter, while I'm bored at work.
