There really is a porn parody of Ghostbusters called Sexbusters. It came out the same year as Ghostbusters, and it's pretty awful. No ghosts or anything. Basically, when someone has trouble getting sex, they call the "Sexbusters" (a couple girls in shorts and white t-shirts that say "Sexbusters" on them; total cop-out of a uniform) who them come over and have sex with them. Not exactly sure how that's "busting" sex.

Also, Jessica ended up having to cover a couple shifts at her job, so once again the poor posters are neglected and will be detailed later. We figure you'd rather us post the mostly-complete page than to not post anything.

I dunno ... she's certainly attractive, but in  one or two of those shots, I could see a bit of Papa Eddie in her face, and that would just freak me out too much.

And now I feel all dirty after going to a site called "BroBible."

There's something weird going on with his waist and his pelvis. It's like... Satan Ninja grabbed Eddie, wrapping one of his massive hands around Ed's entire pelvis, squeezed really hard, and pulled, stretching Eddie out from the waist down like Silly Putty.

Maybe that's totally what happened. It's a dream, after all.

You should see the area they're located in, it's literally a park with lots of grass, trees and even a golf course. It's hard to get a more stereotypically English landscape..

Heh, when I try to picture what I imagine to be a stereotypical English setting, I conjure foggy cobblestone streets winding through tightly packed ancient buildings. You know, Jack the Ripper type stuff.

You mean Shredder from the TMNT?

You're in the UK, so I think you legally have to call them TMHT (Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles), because Ninjas aren't allowed in the UK. In fact, you're probably risking some serious jail time by reading our comic. Maybe we should make it so our site redirects UK visitors to satanhero.com. I'll talk to Ghoul about it.

But yeah, I was talking about Shredder.

Actually, no. We decided not force ourselves to be beholden to any particular page count for each issue. That way we're free to tell the story at whatever pace is most fitting, instead of trying to either cram it all into 22 pages, or alternately add "filler" to pad it out to 22 pages (though I don't imagine we'd ever have an issue that's less than 20 pages).

Issue 2 will be longer than the first issue, but we actually don't know by how much. The script is all written, but it's hard to judge exactly how much space each page of the script will require. For instance, I thought for sure that Sam's Mr. Skull story would take more than one page, but Jessica made it nicely fit into one. And there are other scenes that ended up taking more pages than I would have guessed.

Oh yeah, Cobra Commander is definitely an influence on this guy. I'm glad you mentioned him, as Jessica and I were were slightly worried that Ninja Commander's design was perhaps too similar to a certain other '80s cartoon ninja villain.

Up until about a half hour ago, the leader of the satan ninja clan was called "Dark One." But just as Jessica was saving the page for me to post it, I suggested the name be changed to "Ninja Commander." Jessica always thought the name "Dark One" was boring to start with, so she was happy to change it.

It obviously has hidden layers too deep for me to understand.

Perhaps we should play it backward, in good satanic tradition, for it to make sense:

Mötley Crüe, using spooky powers, summon the Warrior Babe, who is at first confused and skittish. After she regains her composure she uses her shield to put a pentagram spell on the guitarist, which allows him to play a solo. The Warrior babe then transforms herself into a statue. This allows the babes of fantasy-wasteland to moon-walk/run out of the cage, freeing them.

The take-home message would be that, in order to do good (play guitar solos, free the caged babes) we sometimes need to resort to evil measures (spooky powers, pentagram-shooting). According to Mötley Crüe, the ends justify the means. This was also the viewpoint of Niccolò Machiavelli, whose name was shortened to "Old Nick" and became a synonym for the devil. The video makes much more sense this way.

The question remains why they wanted to transmit this message. It is, after all, not a new one. Perhaps they meant to tell us something about our society. The fantasy wasteland is really the world we're living in, and our rulers frequently resort to questionable measures. This is cool though, as the results can still be good.

How comforting that Mötley Crüe simply tells us it's ok to turn a blind eye to occasional evil, it makes life much easier.

I meant to say this earlier, but this may possibly be my favorite forum post.

I'm not sure why it took you so long to see this vid, did you not watch MTV back in the day?

In my earliest memories, MTV was on constantly since I had a lot of teenage babysitters. I'm sure I saw the video, but I didn't remember it. Also, it didn't get nearly as much airplay as stuff from their later albums.

The death was legitimately creepy, especially how he witnessed it from the neighboring building (in the dream).

Nowhere does it say Sam was dreaming.

Mr. Skull is actually a character I came up with back in 2000. "Mr. Skull" was one of the first songs I  wrote for the horror rock band I sing in, The EverDead. The song was my tribute to slasher movie villains. Later, I wrote a slasher movie script called Samhain Eve in which Mr. Skull would have been the villain, but I never ended up filming it. I also wrote a script for a sketch comedy show called, "Mr. Skull's Horrific Chuckle Fest" in which Mr. Skull would have served as a Crypt Keeper-esque host, but that also never got past the script stage.

It's nice to see Mr. Skull finally brought to glorious (un)life by Jessica.

Here's a more recent recording of the Mr. Skull song, now renamed Samhain Eve (The Night of Mr. Skull).

And once again, Eddie's posters will have to be detailed later. Jessica ended up having to work a bunch of extra hours at her security job, so she didn't have time for it.
