But what better way to start off the new year than with Eddie getting his ass kicked?

"an out of control bin lorry." No idea what a bin lorry is, but using the context clue of the picture, I'm going to guess that's what you dudes call a garbage truck?

I actually just saw an article suggesting the possible origin of the recent ebola outbreak.

Who the fuck plays in a hollowed out bat-infested tree?! That's why kids need video games.

Indeed, please post this video!

Hahah, I know someone would request that once Jessica unleashed that fun-fact.

Alas, that video is never to be seen.

Thanks for all the well-wishes (both here and in the Sickie Jessica thread). Jessica spent most of her recovery days lying down, and she'd start to get all nauseous when she'd sit up. So very little art was done. However, she did get to watch me play a  bunch of Metal Gear Solid 3. And by "play" I mean watch radio conversations.

Anyway, in between holiday gatherings and working extra holiday shifts, she's been making progress on the page and it's looking awesome. Can't wait to share it.

Translucent ghost characters are just a lazy way of explaining back stories, although they fail miserably even at that. Maybe the message is 'being a man doesn't prevent your head from being cut off" and "being one with nature results in dolphins swimming to the rescue when you're tied to a cross and thrown into the sea"

I think you nailed it.

Discuss Blog Entries / Page Delayed Due to Sickie Jessica
« on: December 20, 2014, 09:24:40 PM »
Looks like the next page is going to be a couple days late.

Jessica was happily working on the page Thursday, when she developed a nasty stomach ache. It persisted overnight, preventing her from getting much sleep, so I took her to the Urgent Care Center. They looked her over, then had her go to the ER. After some more tests, they found out she has pancreatitis, basically an inflamed pancreas.

She's on painkillers and doing fine now. She just has to take it easy and stay on a liquid diet for a few days.

Anyway, we just wanted to give you a heads up on why the next page is going to be posted later than usual.

I was thinking about the beach intro with the translucent "ghost" characters. My best guess is that it's the movie's way of showing us that we are witnessing events of an age long past. Or something like that. Maybe trying to find any sort of logic in this movie is a waste of time.

Awesome. The satanists have been pulling a lot of stunts like this in recent years. It's a great way to drive home the need to separate church and state, but unfortunately the points tends to go over a lot of heads, as evidenced by many of the comments on that article.

First one indeed, we've seen Viperelli shoot the ninjas and the bounty hunter-hreigh kick but no punches yet..

I was thinking there might have been a punch in the arcade brawler at the very beginning, but looking back, I see we have a jump kick and a sword slash. Kinda crazy that we made it almost two entire issues without a punch.

Okay so I'm bored at work and I went through and watched several of her video's now.  She's pretty awesome.  She has done some great covers. I'm sure I've heard her version of "Then He Kissed Me" before I guess I just didn't realize it was her.

Glad to turn you on to some "new" music. I sampled one of her albums, but I didn't like the rest of her stuff as much as this song.

If you haven't burned out your eyes with bleach by then. Thanks for taking one for team though, we'd have to muddle through all the pish ourselves if it weren't for you guys..

We're basically public servants. The government should fund us.

One of our favorite pages so far. We realized while Jessica was drawing it that this is the first punch of the comic.

The first of many...

Well Voo Doo is not all that bad.

Yeah, I genuinely like the song.

I never saw Superman 3 and not out to watch it now that I've read what you thought about it.  I had a copy of Superman 4 on VHS that I watched repeatedly when I was little though.

I'm kind of surprised I had managed to avoid Superman III up until now. When I was a kid, HBO played the first two movies all the time, but I don't recall catching even a part of the third one. It was like they took a really bad Richard Pryor comedy and a really bad Superman movie, and just kind of sandwiched them together into one long shitty abomination.

I saw Superman IV in theaters, and I thought it was pretty rad at the time, but I haven't re-watched it since.

Seriously though, I'm surprised you guys even bothered with it after that taster.

All in the line of duty. By the time we're done with the comic we'll probably have seen just about every '80s genre movie there is. Gotta find those hidden gems.

Good. You deserve that after enticing me to watch Superman III with that robot transformation clip you posted. We suffered through that abomination this morning. So bad (the bad bad, not the good bad).
