...Has it been almost two years since my last post? I hope, as always, that everyone is doing well.

Thins are ... really fucking bad. Jessica and I are going through some issues. and I don't know how things will affect the comic. I love Jessica, and I love this comic, so I hope things can work out, but we'll see.

Well, damn. I'm really sorry to hear all that. I hope everything works out as well.

Thanks! I'm guessing this page gets the ol' aett Babe Alert ringing a bit...

You know it, dude. Glad everyone is doing well.

It’s been over a month since the last post, so I’m hesitant to say anything, but is everything okay? Hope Jessica is recovering and no other problems have arisen.

Sorry for the extended web blackout period. Jessica's health issues have been a bit of a rollercoaster ride (on one of those shitty old wooden ones that rattle your teeth), but things are looking a lot better lately.

SN8X-things have been happening "behind the scenes" and I should be making a news post to this site within the next week.

Phew! Glad things are improving. Miss you two!

Thanks! It's great that you're not dead!

Just busy as all hell. How's everything else going?

Congrats, you two!!! Also, it's great that the comic isn't dead!

I remember suggesting this a year or two ago, but I know that I (at the very least) would be totally cool if the comic took a break for a month or two in order to build that page buffer back up. Maybe between issues would be best. Of course, updates such as podcast episodes, sketches, and so on would be appreciated just to know that you're both alive.

Well look who pops in just to burst my fun side project bubble! Boo!

But seriously, it's always rad to see you shift out of lurk mode for a moment, aett. You're right, I do have a lot on my plate. But even days later I'm still amused by the idea, so maybe I'll at least write a sitcom scene. It could make for a fun blog post.

I'm always here... always watching... always trying to squeeze in every drop of free time whenever the stars align and my kids are both asleep...

Yeah, that's all Jessica. I gave zero boob input on this page.

I know the trope is to wait until near the end to have the "big reveal" that the hot-but-frumpy dorky girl with glasses is actually an even hotter girl when she takes off the glasses and de-frumps herself, but everyone would be expecting us to do that. So instead we subverted the trope a bit by showing Alex made-over early on, with the twist that she gave herself a terrible makeover because she doesn't know what she's doing with makeup. Oh, and we put her in totally unsexy underwear, because she's too embarrassed to go shopping for the sexy stuff.

I shouldn't have said anything - last time I pointed out that Alex wasn't completely hiding her chest, Jessica went back and edited it!

As much as I want you to write a sitcom, even just one episode of pure '80s joy, I think you have too much on your plate already.

Oh, uh, I guess it wouldn't be a post from me without a boob alert or something. Alex is really letting her girls loose after the confirmation about her bust size on a recent page.

Fantastic job. As always, I really admire the attention to details and the desire to constantly improve from both a visual and storytelling perspective.

(Back to that harrowing non-existence that is New Kid World...)

Discuss Anything / Moonbeam City

Surprised I haven't seen anything about this on these forums!

Check out the 30 second intro to Moonbeam City, a new animated show on Comedy Central that is basically Archer combined with Miami Vice, Nagel art, and neon.

Unfortunately, the first episode wasn't especially great. Definitely some good moments, but overall it feels like it needs to be refined a bit. Hopefully the show will find its footing soon, because it's fun just to look at.
